Day 19: January 24, 2025

Worship With Every Word

Devotional:

The same mouths that sing praises can also speak negativity or gossip. When the children cried “Hosanna” in the temple, they fulfilled their purpose of worshiping God. Our words hold power—will we use them to glorify God or to tear down others? Let us choose to fill our mouths with praise, encouragement, and truth, becoming instruments that reflect His glory.

Scripture:

Psalm 34:1 - "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth."

"But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple, saying, 'Hosanna to the Son of David!' they were indignant and said to Him, 'Do You hear what these are saying?'" - Matthew 21:15-16 (NKJV)

Prayer:

Lord, help me to use my words to glorify You. Teach me to bless and not curse, to encourage and not tear down. Let my mouth always reflect Your goodness. Amen.

Call to Action:

Set a goal to speak only words of encouragement and praise today. Notice how it impacts you and those around you.
