Day 18: January 23, 2025

Living to Please God

Devotional:

Jesus’ anger in the temple was righteous, driven by a holy zeal for God’s house. It’s a sobering reminder that not all worship pleases Him. God isn’t interested in empty rituals or hollow worship.True worship requires repentance and a heart aligned with God’s holiness. He desires genuine hearts that pursue justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. When our actions contradict His will, we risk grieving His Spirit.Let us examine ourselves honestly and remove anything that dishonors Him.

Scripture:

"Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves." - Matthew 21:12 (NKJV)

Prayer:

Lord, search my heart and reveal anything that displeases You. Cleanse me, refine me, and help me to worship You in spirit and truth. Amen.

Call to Action:

Take 15 minutes today to reflect on your heart and actions. Repent of anything that may displease God and commit to pursuing holiness.
