Day 16: January 21, 2025

Seeking God’s Presence

Devotional:

When we come to church, are we seeking God or something else? Coming to church is more than a routine—it is a divine appointment to encounter God. When Jesus entered the temple, He found people preoccupied with business rather than seeking His presence. How often do we come to church distracted or focused on anything but Him? God calls us to seek Him with undivided hearts, expecting to experience His presence, hear His voice, and be transformed. Let us approach His house with reverence, awe, and a hunger for His presence. True transformation happens when we prioritize God above all else.

Scripture:

Psalm 27:4 - "One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple."

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

Prayer:

Lord, prepare my heart to meet You every time I enter Your house. Help me to come with expectation, ready to seek You and worship wholeheartedly. Amen.

Call to Action:

Before your next church service, spend 10 minutes in prayer asking God to prepare your heart and mind to encounter Him.
